Are there ghost lingering on in the Castle crypt?... - Lets find out! Immerse yourself in the historic atmosphere of Oxford Castle & Prison as we embark on a private evening tour of this 1,000-year-old building! We will be accompanied by a costumed guide who will lead us on an extended journey, from the top of St. George’s Tower—where you can take in the breathtaking views of the dreaming spires—to the underground candlelit crypt and the historic prison cells.
Access Information: As this tour takes place at a historic site, which includes, among other things, climbing St. George’s Tower (accessible only by a spiral staircase with 101 uneven steps), uneven cobblestones, and narrow doorways, we recommend that scholars who need additional information or assistance with accessibility check the Oxford Castle & Prison website and fill in our registration form.
