It's time to have some beach fun, folks! Join the Clarendon Scholars for a spectacular day trip to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, two of the most iconic sites along the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Get ready to soak up the sun, sea, and stunning scenery!
We’ll travel together in comfort, as a fully-hired bus will whisk us from Oxford to the scenic Durdle Door. Our adventure kicks off early on Sunday, May 26th as we travel towards the iconic Durdle Door, where the famous limestone arch presents a picturesque gateway to the Jurassic Coast’s dramatic beauty. At noon, savor a delicious Sunday roast (with vegetarian/vegan options available) at the Durdle Door Park Restaurant, perfectly complementing the coastal views.
After lunch, you have the freedom to shape your afternoon as you wish. You have the option to amble over to Lulworth Cove village with us, a charming spot for exploring the traditional thatched cottages and local shops while taking a leisurely walk or you can choose to simply relax by the water. Later, we’ll gather back at Durdle Door beach for a leisurely afternoon—ideal for swimming, lounging, or capturing memories with your camera. Or you can choose to spend your entire afternoon at the beach post-lunch since the time is yours to enjoy as you please!
We'll wrap up our day with a sunset drive back to Oxford, departing from Durdle Door near the end of the evening. Don’t miss this fabulous opportunity to unwind, connect, and create unforgettable moments with your fellow scholars on one of the UK’s prettiest coastlines.
